The Consumer Price Index (CPI) program measures the average price paid by consumers for a basket of goods. The basket consists of a variety of products and varies from country to country. The index in the US considers urban consumers only. This index is the most important index to measure the inflation rate of a country. If inflation affects the pricing of a currency then this index could be very helpful. Along with CPI, you may also consider PPI to have a better understanding of the inflation rate.
United States CPIThe US Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes this report the third Friday of each month at 8:30 am. The month to month report shows the CPI for the previous month. For example a report published in February shows the CPI for January. Other countries also publish similar reports on monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

United Kingdom CPI (or rather RPI/RPIX)In UK the CPI index is called RPI (Retail Price Index) or RPIX (which is RPI excluding the mortgage interest). Click here to see the reports for RPIX and other UK economic indicators.
Other CountriesThe following list also shows CPI reports of some other countries. Some of the reports are not the latest.
