If you would like to straddle and on the other hand are not willing to notify your broker upfront then placing pending orders is not a good idea. One approach to this problem is to watch the market constantly till the breakout from either direction happens and then place a market order. However, the manual approach could be daunting. I have developed an Expert Advisor that takes care of this job for you. All you need to do is to attach the EA to a chart and then define the trade settings. You can also visually move the straddling lines to the proper levels. The EA enters the trade without your presence at your desired breakout levels*. You may limit the EA to one direction or let it trade in both directions. You could place the short breakout line below the long breakout line or above it. The latter enables you to simulate buy limit and or sell limit orders.
