You are probably familiar with the use of MetaTrader History Center to download history data for back-testing and optimization of trading systems. What you may not know is that you can also use History Center to build all timeframes based on 1 minute chart.

The procedure is relatively easy.

1. From the Tools menu select "History Center" or alternatively press F2 on your keyboard.

2. Locate the currency you need to update and click Download.

3. Confirm the subsequent messages.

4. When the download is finished click the Download button again.

5. MT4 notifies you that you have all the data you need. If you click Ok it restructures all timeframes.

This approach helps to minimize the number of "Mismatched charts errors" at the time of back-test. Thus you get 90% back-test quality on timeframes other than 1 minute.
